NITRO, W.Va. — An investigation is underway after a fire damaged a Nitro automobile dealership Tuesday night.

The blaze began in the front of the building at Walker Chevrolet at about 8:30 p.m.

Kanawha and Putnam county fires crews arrived on the scene.

A handful of vehicles were damaged in the fire along with the main building. Firefighters said the building’s sprinkler system helped knock down the flames.

There were no injuries reported and no initial word on what may have started the fire.
