U.S. News & World Report released its 2025-2026 list of 504 Best Regional Hospitals that have "demonstrated superior outcomes," including five in Connecticut.

Nationally, the company analyzed performance data from 4,400 hospitals using factors such as nursing care, avoidable complications, and risk-adjusted mortality rates.

Different procedures and care plans were considered and rated one of three ways: high performing, as expected, or evaluated.

Connecticut is ranked third in the country for healthcare , based on factors such as care access, quality, and public health outcomes, the media company says.

Best hospitals in Connecticut

Of the 42 hospitals evaluated in Connecticut, five were ranked as Best Regional Hospitals for 2025-2026, according to U.S. News & World Report:
