Gov. Wes Moore launched a grant program this week to support organizations that train peer recovery specialists in an effort to address substance use in rural communities across the state.

The Rural Advancement for Maryland Peers program, administered by the Maryland Department of Labor and the Maryland Department of Health, will award grants to organizations that train peer recovery specialists for free or offer specialists professional development opportunities to advance in their roles.
