Golfers usually head to the course expecting relaxation and a day of sport, not surprises. That was exactly the case at Garland’s Fire Wheel Golf Course, until a group noticed a furry figure in a nearby creek.
Their game stopped instantly as they rushed closer to see what was happening.
It quickly became clear that a dog was stranded on the edge of Rowlett Creek in Garland, Texas. The dog refused to move, and the golfers were hesitant to act alone.
Without delay, they called for help.
A Coordinated Rescue Effort
Once the call came in, rescuers from Garland Animal Services (GAS) quickly responded. Firefighters from the Garland Fire Department (GFD) also joined the scene.
