It is hard not to feel a bit sorry for Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Marcelo Saracchi as they prepare to get unveiled at Parkhead. ‌

The pair might feel they’ve pitched up late to a party where the carry-outs have been rattled, the carpets are covered in fag burns and the cops are on the way after the neighbours complained about the GBX Experience being turned up too loud. ‌

Things will inevitably settle down and a degree of normality will resume, with three domestic trophies on the line and a Europa League crack that might be more fun than it sounds at the moment. ‌

But right now they are stepping into a war zone. And it’s far from civil.
