A BOEING 737 was forced to make a dramatic emergency landing after the jet's tyre exploded.
A Norwegian flight had just taken off from Stockholm's Arlanda airport, bound for Paris, when a loud bang was heard.
The plane - carrying 181 passengers - experienced a "technical problem" in the morning, a Norwegian press officer said.
The pilot was forced to circle the airport before making an emergency landing back at Arlanda.
According to an official at the control centre, a "tire explosion" occurred during takeoff, as reported by Swedish outlet Expressen .
"I can understand that it might feel unsettling, but the landing was carried out without drama," the Norwegian spokesperson told the outlet.
