President Donald Trump's 50% tariffs on imports from India take effect today, impacting a range of products including clothing, auto parts, and jewelry, while electronic goods and pharmaceuticals remain exempt.

Electronic goods like iPhones and pharmaceuticals are not affected by the tariffs, so medications and technology purchases will not be impacted.

The Indian government estimates the tariffs will affect $48 billion worth of exports.
