GROVE CITY, Pa. - An animal park in Mercer County has announced the birth of a female giraffe calf at 9 a.m. Tuesday, adding a fourth offspring Keystone Safari’s resident giraffe pair, Levi and Blue Jeans.

The calf weighs 154 pounds and stands approximately 6 feet tall. The birth was monitored by Keystone Safari's animal care team, which allowed the mother and baby to bond before a wellness check. Following the examination by the park’s veterinarian and senior staff, the calf was reported to have no initial health concerns.

Levi and Blue Jeans, who were raised at Living Treasures Wild Animal Park in New Castle, were moved to Keystone Safari in late 2018. The pair’s previous calves are Calvin, born in 2017; Timber, born in 2021; and Keyari, born in 2023.
