The Thursday Murder Club fans have said that ‘it’s a shame’ after being left ‘‘disappointed’ ahead of Richard Osman film adaption’s Netflix release.

Best known for appearing alongside Alexander Armstrong on the BBC quiz show Pointless, Richard released his debut novel in 2020.

The novel follows a group of pensioners living in a care home who decide to solve the mystery of a property developer’s murder in the fictitious seaside village of Fairhaven in Kent.

Becoming the first novel from a debut novelist to become the No. 1 Christmas bestseller, the book went on to sell over a million copies in the UK alone.

Receiving four sequels, including The Man Who Died Twice and The Last Devil to Die, fans of the series have spent years waiting for a film adaptation.
