LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - It’s a bittersweet welcome home for Loudon County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Zac Frye after he served 10 months in the Middle East with the National Guard.
The chief deputy made it official Tuesday that he would be taking a full-time position with the National Guard.
“The military is one part of me, and I feel like I’m a slightly different person there when I’m here, which is not a bad thing. But the people I’ve met and the connections I’ve made here and the friendships will go with me for a life time,” Chief Deputy Frye said.
Frye has worked with LCSO for a decade and also worked for the National Guard for 15 years. He didn’t expect to go full-time with the National Guard, but it was an opportunity that was too hard for him to pass up.
