A Scottish Government trial of the four-day working week improved the productivity of wellbeing and workers.
Civil servants employed at two agencies - South of Scotland Enterprise and Accountancy in Bankruptcy - condensed their working hours into four days, with no loss of pay for a pilot.
Almost all workers - 98 per cent - at South of Scotland Enterprise said the trial increased motivation and morale.
There were less workers taking time off sick and a 25 per cent fall in those taking sick days for mental health reasons.
The report also said that the delivery of the service was not affected and that both organisations "maintained their key performance targets". READ MORE: Nigel Farage rages at suggestion he is 'Putin fanboy' on Scotland visit READ MORE:
