As temperatures continue to sizzle and a long weekend approaches, there's been good news for Langford locals – it's safe to return to the water.
The City of Langford has announced that the beach advisory for Langford Lake at Ed Nixon Lane has been lifted.
Because of high levels of bacteria, the beach advisory was first issued by Island Health Aug. 15.
It's removal means all Langford swimming holes are currently not on Island Health's watch list.
"There are no beach advisories currently in effect in the City of Langford," said a city social media post.
There's been good news for other Greater Victoria swimming spots.
Cordova Bay's Sayward Beach and North Saanich's Bazan Bay Beach have also had their advisories lifted.
There are currently six Greater Victoria beach advisories in place
