The Patriots have a new No. 3 quarterback, and it’s a player they recently watched tear their defense apart.

The Patriots claimed quarterback Tommy DeVito off waivers from the Giants. DeVito was 17-of-20 for 198 yards with three touchdowns in the Giants’ preseason finale against the Patriots. DeVito, who’s nicknamed “Tommy Cutlets,” joins Drake Maye and Joshua Dobbs on the Patriots’ quarterback depth chart.

The Patriots also claimed cornerback Charles Woods from the Rams.
