Ontario Minister of Emergency Preparedness and Response Jill Dunlop was in Greater Napanee on Friday, Aug. 22, to announce a $50,000 grant for emergency preparedness.
Dunlop joined Greater Napanee Deputy Mayor Brian Calver, Hastings-Lennox and Addington Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Ric Bresee, and town officials to unveil new equipment purchased through the provincial Community Emergency Preparedness Grant (CEPG), which provides funding to help communities and organizations buy emergency supplies, equipment and services. The announcement took place next to a display featuring an emergency response trailer, cot, signage and other preparedness items and equipment in the parking lot in front of the municipal office building at 99 Advance Ave., in Napanee.
