Seahawks release WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling
One day after the veteran wide receiver was released by the Seahawks as part of their cutdown to a 53-man roster, Valdes-Scantling is signing with the San Francisco 49ers, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero .
The Seahawks face the 49ers in their Sept. 7 season opener at Lumen Field.
The 49ers have been hit hard by a slew of injuries at wide receiver, as well as a three-game suspension to Demarcus Robinson .
