LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville-based Papa Johns is returning to India.

The third-largest pizza delivery company in the world announced its plan to open 650 stores in the country by 2035, as reported by Reuters .

The move follows Little Caesars, a rival of Papa Johns, launching in India earlier this year and announcing plans to open 100 stores in the Asian market by the end of the decade.

Papa Johns will face several competitors in India. The country is home to more than 2,200 Domino's stores and 950 Pizza Hut locations.
