Police are sounding an alarm following the discovery of several antisemitic graffiti and stickers in Hyde Park, including near a neighborhood synagogue since June, Chicago police said.

Monday was the most recent incident in which mailboxes, stop signs and lockers were among the items tagged with antisemitic phrases, which police said were hate crimes and criminal property destruction. The hate speech was found at eight locations dating back to late June, according to a Community Alert issued by police.

At least two of the antisemitic tags were found near KAM Isaiah Israel at 5039 S. Greenwood Ave. on June 23 and July 22.
