President Donald Trump vowed to investigate why NBC had extended the contract of late-night TV host Seth Meyers.

In a Truth Social post, shared at around 2 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Trump fumed over what he described as a "sick rumor" that "Fake News NBC extended the contract of one of the least talented Late Night television hosts out there, Seth Meyers."

Trump accused Meyers of having "no ratings, talent, or intelligence" and asked, "So, why would Fake News NBC extend this dope's contract. I don't know, but I'll definitely be finding out!!!"

Newsweek reached out to NBC Universal for comment via email on Wednesday.
