With fall sports off and running, so goes the OHSAA boys cross country season.

Greater Akron had another memorable season in 2024, with the Woodridge boys finishing third in a tight Division II team race and numerous other scoring All-Ohio honors at the state meet. The best part is most of those runners will return this fall.

Who are the runners to keep eyes on in Greater Akron? Here are 10 of the best:

1. Atticus Sloan

Woodridge, Class of 2026

The loquacious Sloan proved to be more than the Bulldogs' vocal leader last fall. He was one of three All-Ohio runners for Woodridge, finishing 19th at the Division II state meet in 15:42.49. Sloan is part of senior class loaded with depth looking to score Woodridge's record 11th state title.
