Renfrewshire Council has tested a new approach to tackling potholes on roads in Paisley , Johnstone and a number of other areas during the summer.
The local authority worked with a company called Velocity to pilot a technique known as jet patching throughout the course of last month.
The method, which is also referred to as spray injection patching, repairs potholes and damaged road surfaces using a specialised machine.
An update was provided on the trial in a report to the infrastructure, land and environment policy board on Wednesday.
It said: "Renfrewshire Council have worked with Velocity during July 2025 to pilot a technique of jet patching, also known as spray injection patching, for repairing potholes and damaged road surfaces using a specialised machine that co
