The Brantford Police Service is searching for the newest recruits to its Citizens’ Police Academy.

Community members who want to learn more about the day-to-day life of police officers are invited to apply. Space in the popular program is limited.

It will run each Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Oct. 22 to Nov. 26.

The deadline to submit applications is Sept. 19.

Brantford is one of the first police services in Ontario to offer this kind of community participation through a free, educational program. The first local Citizens’ Police Academy was held in 1999.
