IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police in Idaho Springs were conducting a follow-up investigation in an alleged credit card fraud case on Tuesday when the suspect they were speaking with ran from them after getting out of a mud bath at the Indian Hot Springs.

According to Idaho Springs Police (ISP), an officer was conducting the investigation alongside a Clear Creek County deputy when they contacted the suspect, 33-year-old Alec Bogus of Aurora, as he was getting out of the mud bath.

Police said Bogus also had a felony warrant out of Douglas County for assault. Police said Bogus became uncooperative and was able to run from officers, in his swimsuit and covered in mud, heading up the side of a mountain to the east of the hot springs.
