After being cut by the Green Bay Packers' 53-man roster Tuesday, Mecole Hardman will sign with the team's practice squad , according to Ryan Wood of Packers Wire.

Hardman, a three-time Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs, was released yesterday before the NFL 's 53-man roster deadline. He signed a non-guaranteed contract with the team in March.

The move raised a few eyebrows given his championship pedigree and ability to stretch the field, but it was a numbers game for Green Bay as they opted for a few younger options at receiver.
