Clashes between opposing attorneys compelled an East Baton Rouge judge to hold three attorneys in contempt of court for actions taken during the murder trial of a man convicted this week of killing his ex-girlfriend and her new lover.
A jury deliberated about 2½ hours before finding Brian Alexander Lavergne guilty of two counts of second-degree murder Monday night in the January 2021 double homicide.
