The New England Patriots have moved on from Kendrick Bourne, and now it looks like his former team might be in pursuit.
Wednesday brought news that New England made multiple roster moves. The Patriots acquired quarterback Tommy DeVito and also granted a release to Bourne .
Bourne made the Patriots’ 53-man roster but swiftly asked for a release, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter .
On Wednesday, ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported that Bourne’s former team, the 49ers, are interested in bringing the 30-year-old back.
“The 49ers are “very interested” in a reunion with Bourne, a source told ESPN’s Nick Wagoner,” Reiss wrote .
“The nine-year veteran has totaled 292 receptions for 3,714 yards and 22 touchdowns over his career,” Reiss added. “The Vikings had expressed interest in Bourne before trading
