CARROLL COUNTY, Ga. — Jurors began deliberating after attorneys made their final arguments Tuesday in the re-trial of a former Georgia State Patrol trooper charged in a 2015 crash that claimed the lives of two teenagers.

Anthony Scott, now the mayor of Buchanan, Georgia, is on trial facing vehicular homicide and other charges in the crash, which killed 17-year-old Kylie Lindsey and 16-year-old Isabella Chincilla on Sept. 26, 2015.

Deliberations continued late into the night, until about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday. The jury is expected to return at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
