COMPTON – A man was shot in Compton late Tuesday night and authorities continue to search for the suspects.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies with the Compton Station responded to reports of shots fired in the 1300 block of S. Long Beach Blvd. around 10:40 p.m.

Upon arrival, they located a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased, according to Lt. De Jong.

Three suspects who were allegedly involved in the fatal shooting led deputies on a vehicle pursuit while shooting at them and were taken into custody Wednesday morning after a search in a Compton neighborhood.

After exiting the vehicle, the suspects ran into the surrounding neighborhood and deputies established a perimeter in the 14100 block of S
