Cracker Barrel has announced that it is dropping its new logo and returning to the “Old Timer” after receiving backlash from customers and politicians.
“We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen, and we have,” the company wrote in a statement provided to MassLive on Wednesday. “Our new logo is going away, and our ‘Old Timer’ will remain.”
The restaurant chain originally unveiled a new logo on Aug. 18 as part of a new campaign, “All the More,” featuring country music star Jordan Davis.
The new logo differed in that it no longer featured the image of a man seated next to a barrel, which had represented Cracker Barrel since 1977.
The restaurant chain received fierce reaction from many, including President Donald Trump, who then congr
