The drops of water seem to hover in the air, ringed by a wooden hoop that frames the precipitation for passersby and encourages them to consider the state of our water.

Geometric shapes and organic elements arranged within one another imply a burst of energy. A burr oak leaf sprouts from the ground and flowing bands of yellow, green and blue recall the meandering and shifting path of a river. A larger-than-life dragonfly is perched on a towering pedestal as sunlight shines through its translucent wings.

Just as it has been every two years since 2012, art lovers passing along one of Greenwood’s most popular trailways will be treated to a new batch of whimsical, wonderful works of art.
