FORSYTH, Ga. — Automaker Stellantis announced they're setting their sights on Central Georgia for a new distribution center, honing in on constructing a 442,000-square-foot facility in Monroe County's Forsyth.

A statement from the company says that they're building a $41 million Mopar Parts Distribution Center in Forsyth, which Monroe County says is expected to bring 90 union jobs to the county.

Mopar is the parts and customer care arm of Stellantis, providing parts and other items for Stellantis vehicles. The company's portfolio includes Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Alfa Romeo and FIAT vehicle brands.

The press release does not say where in Monroe County the facility is set to be built. It also does not outline what steps remain to get the facility up and running.
