After opening the season with 11 losses and two ties, the Rush are now unbeaten in three. On Monday, Aug. 25, the 10th-place squad hosted sixth-place Southend United Fusion and kept their momentum rolling with a 2–0 victory. Article content Article content

In the early going, the Rush looked eager to pounce. Southend started the game with only 11 players, and South Huron looked to take advantage.

“For once, we had the player advantage, and with a full bench we really wanted to make them feel our energy and pressure for the whole game,” said Rush coach Tim Hundey. “We wanted to start off aggressively, but also wear them down.”
