Eyes will be centered on Florida Gators quarterback DJ Lagway, who will start against LIU despite a myriad of offseason ailments. Lagway didn't throw during spring camp due to shoulder and core issues and was limited the first two weeks of fall camp with a calf strain.

Brockway said it will be important for UF to play a clean game against LIU, an overmatched FCS opponent that went 4-8 last season.
