ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The question started innocently enough, about selling Michigan on the recruiting trail to potential high-school recruits.

Tony Alford has been on the Wolverines’ staff for over a year now, after defecting from arch rival Ohio State in spring 2024, and he’s entertained nearly every question thrown his way about the Buckeyes.

On Wednesday, Alford, fresh off landing a verbal commitment from five-star running back Savion Hiter , who picked Michigan over Tennessee, Ohio State and Georgia, provided a greatest hits list of talking points he delivers to prospects.
