Ryan Riesbord, the athletic director at Rim of the World High School in Lake Arrowhead, confirmed his school’s girls varsity volleyball team forfeited Monday’s scheduled nonleague match against Jurupa Valley.

Reisbord did not give a reason for the forfeiture or offer further comment.

Rim of the World is the second school to forfeit a varsity girls volleyball match to Jurupa Valley this season. Riverside Poly forfeited an August 15 nonleague match against the Jaguars.

Jurupa Valley had another nonleague match scheduled this week against Orange Vista. Friday’s match no longer is listed on Maxpreps.com, a sign the match either was cancelled or forfeited by Orange Vista.
