The Fourth District Court of Appeal of the State of Florida has ordered a new sentencing for Robert Everett Allen, who was convicted of vehicular homicide and DUI manslaughter. In a ruling dated August 27, 2025, the court found multiple errors in the original sentencing handed down by the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court in St. Lucie County.

The appellate decision comes after Allen’s legal team filed a motion to correct sentencing errors, which the trial court had deemed denied after not ruling on it within 60 days.
