The Seahawks made a change at cornerback a day after establishing an initial 53-man roster, claiming former Rams cornerback Derion Kendrick off waivers.
Veteran cornerback Shaquill Griffin was released to make room on the roster.
Kendrick, who won national championships at both Clemson and Georgia, began his college career as a receiver before converting to cornerback, and in addition to his roles as a receiver and corner, he also returned kickoffs during his first two seasons at Clemson. Prior to that, he was a standout quarterback and receiver at South Pointe High School in South Carolina, where he won four consecutive state titles.
