ESPN has made a major decision on Cam Newton's future on First Take.
The former NFL star quarterback first joined First Take as a regular last year.
On Wednesday, ESPN announced that the network signed a deal with Newton.
It will be a new multi-year deal for the 2015 NFL MVP, which will allow him to have more roles on the morning debate show.
Newton has previously been a guest on Friday's episodes during the football season.
The 36-year-old will now appear on First Take multiple times per week, per Front Office Sports .
The press release revealed that Newton will return to First Take on Thursday.
The show will air live from Norfolk State University as part of its HBCU tour on that day.
