Some NFL fans aren’t pleased with the news of Cam Newton’s expanded role at the Worldwide Leader in Sports.

In October, ESPN hired Cam Newton to appear every Friday on their popular “First Take” program hosted by Stephen A. Smith. Newton began a media career after his NFL playing days, launching the weekly “4th&1 Podcast,” which has more than 440,000 subscribers on YouTube.

This morning, ESPN announced that Newton signed a multi-year deal for an expanded role on “First Take.” In the press release, it was noted that the 2015 NFL MVP will return to the show tomorrow during a live segement at Norfolk State University.
