Manchester United were shockingly knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two side Grimsby , following a 2-2 draw and a penalty shootout. ‌

Grimsby took an early lead when Charles Vernam's shot slipped past Andre Onana at his near post . The United keeper made another blunder just eight minutes later, failing to handle a cross which Tyrell Warren then nudged into the net. ‌
