KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Missouri man says he is guilty of a $1.5 million embezzlement scheme that paid for his vacations and gambling habits for years.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri says on Wednesday, Aug. 27, that Justin R. Marquardt, 55, of Nevada, pleaded guilty to a $1.5 million embezzlement scheme.
With his guilty plea, prosecutors indicated that Marquardt admitted to stealing around $1.5 million from his employers’ bank accounts. Instead, he used those funds for his personal benefit.

Law enforcement officials noted that Marquardt held the title of executive director of his company. With his position came access to all of the company’s finances and accounts from 1994
