ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Albemarle County is more than halfway through restoring a one-mile stretch of Biscuit Run Stream, a project officials say will improve water quality, reduce flooding and support more wildlife in the area.

Instead of heavy grading, crews are installing small structures that act like beaver dams. The design slows the water, creates pools and helps trap pollution before it flows downstream.
