CHICAGO (WGN) — Ahead of their series finale Wednesday night against the Kansas City Royals, the Chicago White Sox have placed Luis Robert Jr. on the 10-day injured list and recalled an outfielder from Triple-A to take his place.

The White Sox classified Robert Jr.'s injury as a left hamstring strain, while the outfielder called up to take his place on the roster is Will Robertson.

Robert Jr. is hitting .223/.297/.364 with 14 home runs, 53 RBI, 52 runs scored, and 33 stolen bases in 110 games this season. He is batting .298/.352/.456 in 114 second-half at-bats and has joined Minnie Miñoso, Ray Durham and Alexei Ramírez as the only players in White Sox history to record 100 career home runs and 100 stolen bases.
