The mother of an 11 year old boy who was struck in a hit-and-run crash has recounted the terrifying moment she discovered him drenched in blood next to his "mangled" bike. Lisa Bright told Belfast Live she was terrified her son Joey might not survive when she reached the scene of the collision in north Belfast on Sunday to find him "lying there, squealing".

The youngster had been mucking about on his bicycle with a mate when they were hit by a motor at Enfield Road, close to the Woodvale Park area, on Sunday evening.
