COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Update: The motorcyclist who crashed into an ambulance in Putnam County has died, according to a preliminary crash report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
THP reports that 61-year-old Ronald Baker was killed after crashing into an ambulance on Wednesday morning.
Earlier: A motorcyclist was critically injured after crashing into an ambulance in Putnam County on Wednesday morning, according to the county Emergency Medical Services.
Putnam County EMS reports that the crash occurred at about 10:20 a.m.
An ambulance was transporting a patient on Willow Avenue in Cookeville when the motorcyclist crashed into the rear side of the ambulance. The ambulance crew and the patient on board were all taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
