The Arizona Supreme Court rejected an appeal by Laura Owens, the Scottsdale woman who claimed that former "Bachelor" star Clayton Echard impregnated her with twins.
The decision leaves intact lower court rulings that her lawsuit was fraudulent and adds to the $149,000 in attorneys fees she was ordered to pay Echard.
“We were certainly not surprised that the Arizona Supreme Court denied review and essentially affirmed the Court of Appeals and the trial court’s ruling,” Gregg Woodnick, attorney for Echard, told The Arizona Republic.
