Two 14-year-olds arrested in separate DC robbery cases involving gunpoint threat and street snatch
Washington, DC – Two 14-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with separate robbery incidents that occurred in different parts of the city over the past month, the Metropolitan Police Department confirmed Tuesday.
In the first case, three suspects armed with handguns approached a victim around 9:05 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, in the 5200 block of Bass Place SE. The group demanded the victim’s phone at gunpoint, and after the victim complied, the suspects fled. Following an investigation by MPD’s Juvenile Investigation and Response Unit, a 14-year-old male from Northwest DC was arrested on August 21 and charged with Armed Robbery.
