FOXBOROUGH – Anfernee Jennings admits it wasn’t easy.

The Patriots ’ edge rusher, who started the last two seasons in New England, practiced with the Patriots’ second and third stringers this offseason. For Jennings, learning Mike Vrabel’s new defensive system was a humbling experience.

Jennings’ fit, or lack thereof, made him subject to trade rumors, but cutdown day came and went without the Patriots trading the veteran. On Wednesday, the 27-year-old explained why he had a tough time this offseason and how happy he is to remain in New England.
