For the Colorado football team to pick up a victory in its season opener on Friday, it will have to contain one of the most veteran, although unheralded, quarterbacks in the country.

Georgia Tech’s Haynes King isn’t receiving preseason All-American consideration. In fact, there are at least three other quarterbacks in his own conference, the ACC, that are more highly regarded by pundits.

CU knows, however, it will have its hands full in trying to stop King on Friday at Folsom Field (6 p.m., ESPN).
