After 18 horses were taken from a local equestrian facility earlier this month, a group is now fighting to keep those horses from being returned to the owner.

According to Cincinnati Animal CARE, the horses were starving, facing health issues, and kept in metal tractor trailers before they were rescued.

“These horses don't have any say in how they're being taken care of,” said Teresa Russo, who helped rescue a horse from the ranch nearly a decade ago.
