GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers battled their share of injuries during training camp to players expected to be key contributors.

Quarterback Jordan Love (thumb) is taking snaps under center for the first time since his thumb surgery, which is a promising sign, but there are still some questions on the health of some starters before the Packers take the field Sept. 7 against the Detroit Lions .

WR Jayden Reed (foot) and CB Nate Hobbs (knee) have missed several weeks of practice. Reed suffered a sprained foot and spent time in a walking boot, while Hobbs had surgery to repair a partial tear in his meniscus earlier this month.

Gutekunst believes both are in a good place to be prepared for the season opener.
